Energy Performance Contract – INTERAMERICAN

Overview of the project

Implementation of targeted interventions on E/M systems at INTERAMERICAN’s main building. The interventions were the result of an energy study carried out at the facility, implemented under an energy performance contract (EPC), which guaranteed energy savings of 12%.

Services

  • The performance of an energy audit at the company’s main building (a surface area of around 13,000m2).
  • Identification of critical interventions aiming to save energy
  • The implementation of targeted interventions funded by CORDIA, such as:
    • The installation of speed controllers in the CACs in combination with CO2 monitoring and new monitors in the CACs
    • The installation of an inverter in the central compressor of the FCU network.
    • Replacement of the central compressor in the CAC network for improved efficiency
    • Management of TRANE coolers and localised improvements in air conditioning through the use of smart monitors
    • Weather compensation in the boiler room with the installation of an external temperature sensor
    • Optimisation of the functioning of the system for producing and managing hot water for use
    • Establishing set points in the CAC during periods of heating and cooling
    • Web-based operation and monitoring of critical equipment via an IoT platform
    • The placement of power analysers at 9 crucial points and monitoring via an IoT platform.
  • Repayment of the cost of the interventions over 5 years from the savings in energy consumption.

Advantages for our clients

  • Total energy savings double the levels which are guaranteed – around 24.2%
  • Improved thermal comfort in areas within the facilities
  • Increased efficiency of E/M installations and immediate reporting of faults
  • Further financial benefits from the energy savings achieved.
